I recently watched the trailers and tv spots for the upcoming Transformers movie. It looks awesome. I can’t wait for this movie to come out. There are a few Michael Bay haters out there saying that he’s just going to make Transformers like all his other movies, unnecessary explosions and just alot of action, without much story. There are even some people out there saying that he is ruining their childhood(?). To these people all I have to say is: IT’S THIRTY FOOT TALL ROBOTS BATTLING, WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK THE MOVIE IS GOING TO BE LIKE!!
I personally am looking forward to seeing a whole lot of action with huge explosions and not to involved of a story line. If I want an intricate story line I wouldn’t be going to see giant transforming robots fighting each other. I’m just going to distance this movie from what I remember the old cartoon was like. I’m even sure that if I went back and watched those old episodes they wouldn’t be nearly as good as they are in my head. Before even seeing this movie, I can gaurantee that he is not ruining my childhood, or even the transformers. In my opinion the transformers were ruined with Beast Wars. They somewhat redeemed themselves a few years ago, but now it’s back on a downslide because there are like 5 different versions of the cartoon.
If you think Michael Bay is bad, you obviously have never seen ANY movie by Uwe Boll. I’m just grateful that he didn’t get his paws on this franchise.
You know what’s sad?
No Transformer’s Theme Song in the movie…
Ya know…the old one?
Lamo. They really ought to have included it for us old-school fans.
Oh well.

I know. I was hoping that they would throw that in there some were also. At least there was the old school transforming noise at one point.
